Some of 1stdibs' most valued clients are members of the Trade. As a result, the Trade team was created to improve their experience and increase their use. The above design displays the first release of the new trade rewards program with tiers, where designers can earn rewards such as cash back. The higher the tier they climb, the more benefits they’ll get.
To get trade users interested in being part of the rewards program, our first focus was on promoting our cash back program. Above, here are 3 examples of cash back focused placements on the product detail page, order processing page, and message center conversations page.
After the first release of trade rewards, and analyzing our clients, the program became more robust and benefit-focused. Tiered benefits such as connecting a designer with a new client, and promoting them on social media and 1stdibs are highly valued. A need for a Bronze tier was also added to give lower range spenders access as well.
Explanation as to how the program works rolling into the new year was of our main design challenges in this update. User testing was conducted to gather feedback, as well as receiving input from other team stakeholders.
